Big gear ring

The big gear ring is inlaid on the outer edge of the flywheel after heating, and is fastened on the outer edge of the flywheel after cooling. It is used to mesh with the starter gear, drive the crankshaft to rotate and start the engine.
Because the multi cylinder engine often stops at the cylinder with large compression force when it stops, the impact position of the flywheel ring gear is roughly the same when it starts, and the cutting surface of the ring gear will be deformed for a long time. In this case, the flywheel ring gear can be re installed after turning an angle or turning forward or backward. Under normal circumstances, if it can not be started at one time, it is necessary to wait until the gear returns to the original static position before starting at a good time.
The axial distance between gear and ring gear should be kept 2.5-5mm. In this way, when the main circuit is connected, the starter gear and the flywheel ring gear are rotating at a high speed before they are meshed. When they are in contact, they will naturally make a sound due to impact, and if they cannot mesh, the engine will not start. In case of this fault, the static and dynamic contact clearance of starter electromagnetic switch can be increased; A cushion is added between the electromagnetic switch and the starter rear shell; Cancel the excess clearance of the support pin in the middle of the starter fork; Replace the sliding block or pulley with smaller wear on the fork; When installing the ring gear on the flywheel, do not press the ring gear to the bottom of the flywheel, leave a gap of 2-3mm or use the method of thickening the ring gear to eliminate it. In addition, the starter drive gears on the market, some of the overall length does not meet the standard, and some of the flywheel and ring gear height produced by irregular factories do not meet the standard, which are easy to cause this phenomenon. When purchasing, we should pay special attention not to be greedy for cheap and cause big losses.
